Office Manager

Job title:                      Office Manager
Location:                     Solihull, Reading, Manchester & Bristol
Contracted hours:       40+ per week
Salary:                         Negotiable depending on experience (Circa £40,000 per annum, OTE unlimited (linked to profitability of office), plus benefits package.

Project Resource is a vibrant and rewarding recruitment business.  We supply to the building, civil engineering, rail and infrastructure industries.  We have a strong presence, reputation and service offering, providing consultative advice and high calibre contract and permanent solutions to employers, across senior technical, middle and senior management positions.  Established in September 2002 we have seen extensive growth and are looking to continue this development.

As a result of our continued growth and the development of our business, we are now seeking to appoint an Office Manager to join our team.  Paramount to the job will be to successfully manage, develop and grow our business, from your office, in terms of turnover, profitability, volume of placements/ client supplied, etc.  It will be integral that over time a larger team is grown and managed, to ensure optimum delivery to the clients available in your geographical region and industries supplied.

This job will have key performance indicators (KPIs) for growth.  It is expected that Office managers will be fundamental to maintaining our company’s growth and our name as a premier supplier of staff to employers in the industries we deliver.

This job will report directly into the company Directors.  You will have the support of our Client Services Manager, Directors, Administration team and the whole company.

Responsibilities

  • To work and develop our/your existing recruitment team, to establish a solid working framework for optimum to the employers in your industries and geographical region managed;
  • Grow and develop a team around you, as demand and profitability permit;
  • Work closely with our/your team to explore business opportunities with our existing clients;
  • Report performance for your office to the business, via the appropriate procedures, at the specified periods;
  • Recruitment of personnel for your team, and dealing with all personnel issues pertaining to your team;
  • Look to generate new business from existing clients’;
  • Look to generate new business from new clients’;
  • Generate the right mix of jobseekers, new and repeat business that delivers a profitable mix of business in line with agreed targets;
  • Management of the recruitment process from start for finish;
  • Deliver compelling and professional proposals that generate profitable business;
  • Ensure compliance with all internal procedures/ processes, external regulations and legislation;
  • Take ownership and liaise with your line Manager/ Director, to ensure constructive personal development;
  • Assist with the coaching and development of colleagues where required; and
  • Maintain comprehensive and current knowledge of your clients, market and key commercial trends.

Essential experience required

  • Experienced working for another recruitment agency/ business as a Team Leader or Manager;
  • Demonstration of successfully delivering to employers (achieving repeat business, growth in placements made and profit obtained and repeat selection for PSL supply year on year);
  • Proven track record of placing jobseekers in permanent and/or contract jobs;
  • Historic personal monthly billings (£) with current/ past employer should be in excess of £10,000 per month on average (ideally above £20,000 per month average) or obtaining a similar team pounds per person average;
  • Experience of generating your own leads (via networking, client relationship development, variety of media, etc.) and job opportunities;
  • Experience of performance reporting (internal & external), and giving feedback to all relevant parties, which leads to better performance;
  • Experience of training, developing and managing a successful recruitment team;
  • Ability to set motivational goals and targets when needed;
  • Ability to monitor, review and communicate KPIs, and ensure targets are met/ exceeded;
  • Professional disposition, articulate, high attention to detail, and exemplary customer service approach;
  • Outgoing, friendly, focussed and hard working;
  • Sensible, with clear life goals, career minded and completely success motivated;
  • The ability to be self critical; and
  • Ability to demonstrate achievement beyond your peer group.

Desirable experience required

  • Exposure one or some of the following industries: Building, Civil Engineering, Railway or Infrastructure (Highways, Water and Energy);
  • Good face-to-face ability and experience;
  • Ability to lead and grow a team (short or long-term).
  • Ability to think “outside the box” to solve problems, help us maintain our cutting edge, and create ideas that improve the business as a whole.
